A couple of things

1. There’ll probably be a massive video game entry in the near future. I meant to write one after beating Mass Effect, but I immediately got hooked on several other games. Fortunately, I’ve been progressing nicely in three of the four games so I’ll include that.

2. If you’re not following Bonnie’s Tokyo blog, you’re missing out.

3. Thanks to Daren #1: I imported all my notes from google to zoho. A number of semi-big link days in the coming months, which depends on downtime at work (lately, there’s been none).

4. Thanks to Daren #2: I’m now using twitter. Twitter is a micro-blogging site: under 160 characters only. It’s kind of like facebook’s status update system but is much more flexible. You can see twitter updates on the left hand side – it’s almost instantaneous.

Tangentially, 4a: You can comment, but you need to sign up for twitter. I’m not expecting comments.

Tangentially, 4b: The wife’s blackberry was never deactivated. I found this out accidentally. I’ve been using it as a PDA, but learned that the internet still works. I like the microblogging specifically in conjunction with the device; for instance, the RPI game.

Tangentially, 4c: I’m a crackberry addict. The blackberry is the most perfect device ever designed. I used it semi heavily over the weekend with the antenna on and still managed to use only a quarter of battery life. Granted, this doesn’t involve cell phone use; however, online reviews have it running for 2-3 days with regular use (internet, phone, pda) before needing a charge. It’s a shame RIM decided to go away from such an amazing design.

You are definitely a crackberry addict.

And for the sake of my law license, I feel a need to state for the record that I deleted all privileged and confidential information off of the blackberry before Kashi took it.

Yes, it was completely wiped and I reset the profile on the device. I’m actually quite mystified why it can connect to the internet even after all that. I can’t find what it is that’s allowing the device to do it, and I’ve googled it too. I’m thinking of sticking the SIM in the n-gage to see what it does.

    Thanks for the plug! :)
And crackberry addict is what I’m about to become. Work is forcing one into my hands; the Blackberry Bold which is being released here in Japan on Friday. They won’t let me just get a regular phone which I can read my emails on; oh no, has to be a crackberry.
    grumble grumble…
