Super brief

1. It probably wasn’t wise to play VT3 while still fatigued. I haven’t beaten the game yet, but I got oh-so-close today. In other news, I wish I could record these matches. My last match with S. Williams lasted 30 minutes, 4 seconds! The average match lasts less than five. It was a classic, and I learned a lot.

2. Madworld (wii) arrived today. Unbelievably gory, unbelievably bloody, unbelievably violent, and incredibly fun. I played for 25 minutes but it only felt like 2. What a game. Welcome back Sega, and welcome back Wii! I apparently haven’t used you since early January. The wiimotes were covered in a thick layer of dust. Yechh.

It’s a straight up arcade beat ‘em up. The controls are well thought out, but they seem to push the outer limit’s of the control’s abilities. Props to Platinum Games for eking out the best that this console can offer. In other news, the wii’s controls have a pretty limited range, and that makes me a little sad. We’re only three years into the console’s life… hopefully motion-plus fixes this problem.

Finally, HotD: Overkill got sterling reviews, and I’m excited for the Conduit. Could this be the year of the Wii? Maybe, just maybe?
