The neon came today, and since they were a simple two wire install, I managed to get them switched and powered in about an hour and a half.
The sum total – a very well lit (up) interior at night.
Nice closeup of water bottles lit in the cup holders. This effect also works with Coffee Coolatas from Dunkin Donuts, as well as Gatorade (that effect is actually better than the water, especially if the gatorade is red).
A better view of the neon’d areas (as well as the somewhat dusty floormats… will take care of that right quick).
I have two extra leds left, and I’m trying to figure out where I’d like to mount them… overhead lights to light up the area below the radio? Compartment in front of the cupholders?
Who knows.
I’m exceptionally happy with the result… the neons at 3 o’clock were as bright as the LEDs at 2.00AM! Great, great results.
It also appears that I’ve taken on a future project… I believe a Scion xB… somewhere in Brooklyn… hmm….
