Road tripping

Isaac does well enough on road trips. I’m pretty surprised, actually. One of the things that was a big worry was that we can’t sit in the back with him, as Nora’s seat takes up a lot of space in my car and Lisa’s car doesn’t even have a middle seat. He didn’t cry on the way there, was hungry on the way back so we stopped in Claymont (yay DE) and filled up on cheap gas after he ate.

He really, really, REALLY loves his big sister. It’s hard to attribute emotions like love to babies, but he watches her intently pretty much every time they’re together and when he cries she almost regularly can calm him down. If not love, definitely likes a LOT. Thankfully, she loves and adores him too. Big relief.

When Nora gives him a hug, he wraps his tiny arms around his neck. It might be an involuntary reaction, but at the same time 1) he doesn’t do it for Lisa and I 2) it’s so freaking cute and 3) I’m kind of jealous. :D

Onward, to NYC, upstate NY, and everywhere in between!
