What a funny name for Wednesday. I’m a Thursday person myself – it’s when I work the hardest so I can attempt to blow off Friday. Friday tends to be a frustrating day where if I tried to work, I’d fail… so it’s almost Thursday! Huzzah!
From the ‘what the hell, they have blogs?’ are the following:
MC Hammer’s Blog:
http://mchammer.blogspot.com/
He does the mobile blogging thing, which is neat and sad at the same time, given how lavishly he used to live, 10-15 years ago.
Confessions of a College Callgirl
http://collegecallgirl.blogspot.com/
It’s anonymous, of course, and fairly interesting, or at least the archives are. It’s become more salacious as of late, but periodically there are some extraordinarly gripping tales. As far as I know, she hasn’t attempted to write a book (this is at which point most interesting blogs die).
Donovan McNabb’s Blog:

You can tell him he sucks there, Leesie.
Donovan McNabb’s mom’s blog
http://www.mamamcnabb.com/
There is something wrong when the son’s blog is less involved that the mother’s. She reminds me of Eric Lindros’ dad. Relevant quote:
As Montreal Gazette columnist Jack Todd wrote last week, “His parents are, by general agreement, the most obnoxious, interfering duo in the game.”

Some articles for your interest:
Twins: A window into identity issues
This amazes me. In 1960, twins put up for adoption were separated as an experiment. These two happened to find each other. However, there were other twins and a set of triplets which were separated under the same pretenses. Because of ethical issues (you think?) the results have been sealed until 2066. Good lord.
It’s Time To End Hamilton’s Curse
Hamilton was the country’s founding neo-conservative. It’s amazing, really, given that he also aided in some fashion the birth of this country. Yet, he is the very predecessor for the likes of Dick Cheney. It’s a wonderful thing that he wasn’t born on American soil.Speaking of which:
Hey, Young Americans, Here’s a Text for You
I’d admit being extraordinarily cynical regarding our government. I’ve printed the article and hung it up, as a reminder that if I want change, I have to make change.
Charles Darwin’s views on religion
I found it quite fascinating.
And for the holidays: Remember, this is the season of giving…
Kiva.org
You can give micro loans to poor people in countries where banks wouldn’t give them a second thought. You won’t necessarily get your money back, however, a great number of people have had success and repaid their debts based on these small loans.
OLPC “Give One, Get One”
You buy an XO laptop for yourself, and you automatically buy one for a child in a third world country. Brilliant, yes? Even more important, given that countries are backing out of their promises to buy the machines. I’m aiming to get one for Nora – it’s the perfect first computer – not one of those dumbed down, overpriced calculators called ‘LeapFrog’.

Bandwidth wise and popularity wise we’re doing well, even if the comments don’t indicate it – we’re going to renew our two year lease with godaddy and I’ll continue to keep the domain. As of the last time I checked:
-
Total data transferred 48.304 GB
Total data transferred in last 7 days 2.038 GB
We have plenty to spare, though that will change next year, as we begin hosting more and more videos. So, until then, here’s a freebie:
I listened a few times before getting hooked. The whole record, Paris Sous Les Bombes, feels like it was created in one sitting in a jazz club. It’s as though they pushed the performers off the stage and took the place over. There’s a subtle fluidity and ease to the whole track, which juxtaposed by the vocals is quite impressive.
Hey, it’s not for everyone, I admit.

(1) “Mama McNabb”‘s website makes my head hurt.
;-D
(2) We should donate to Kiva for Christmas.
(3) I *know* that Hamilton link is just to pick a fight with James.
I recommended CCG in my blog, too. Her writing is fantastic!
