It’s like this: I guess I started working early on. My parents had no problem with killing my summer plans of video games and outdoor activities, they always believed that my free time should be filled with studying and working. And sleeping, but barely. So for many summers I worked in this one store, which [...]
Yes, I locked us out of the house. By we, I mean: Lisa, Nora, Mare and Michael, and yes, myself. From all members, I’m solely to blame for this. I disagree, for a couple reasons, though it’s unimportant. More importantly, only Nora and I stayed calm throughout the ordeal which lasted all of ten minutes. [...]
The more I delve into the syncing issue, the less sense it makes to me. So I started playing with a program by the name of EssentialPIM, and I’m seriously considering paying for the full version. There’s a but, of course. And this isn’t an indictment of anything, more along the lines of general musings. [...]
It’s called Finchsync, and it syncs your Windows Mobile/Pocket PC with Thunderbird, Sunbird/Lightning, which are, together, the open source equivalent of Outlook. Check out that diagram. Makes a whole lot of sense, doesn’t it? It’s absolutely beautiful. That’s exactly how syncing software should work. Now, the only problem is migrating to Thunderbird/Lightning. Oof. — Sweden [...]
There are no good Italian places in the Philadelphia area. Why is that? A few months ago we had a chance to eat Italian in Brooklyn, and then up North with Lisa’s family. I’m no Italian, but I can tell the difference between real Italian and fake Italian food. What is the deal? Further, there [...]
I’m at 900 approved comments, 899 of which are Lisa’s. Just kidding, 894 are Lisa’s. Actually, I have no way to tabulate who has commented and who hasn’t. And 375 comments are missing in ether ever since switching to wordpress. But 900 is a nice round number, so I thought I’d throw a mini celebration. [...]
Virtua Tennis 3 (360): I should play games right after Dancing with the Stars more often. Virtua Tennis 3 is the third iteration of the venerable VT franchise; it has appeared on other handheld consoles in various forms, but I won’t include them because the GBA and N-Gage versions were poor. Virtua Tennis 3 decided [...]
Battle of Bioware Jade Empire (Xbox): This is one of those titles that made the xbox a must own console. Jade Empire is an action RPG, based in ancient China. I can’t really divulge much of the story – the reason for that I’ll get to in a moment. Actual gameplay is kind of a [...]
1. It probably wasn’t wise to play VT3 while still fatigued. I haven’t beaten the game yet, but I got oh-so-close today. In other news, I wish I could record these matches. My last match with S. Williams lasted 30 minutes, 4 seconds! The average match lasts less than five. It was a classic, and [...]
This is regarding Virtua Tennis 3 for the 360. Two weeks ago, I was ranked 2nd and about to enter the very last tournament in the game, which would’ve then meant I beat the game. I was elated! Two weeks later, I am ranked 10th, even went so far as to skip all the grand [...]
